THE APARTMENT ITSELF...

PHOTOS - THE ROOFTOP

IN A CITY CONTINUALLY GROWING UPWARDS AN IMPORTANT NEW FEATURE IS HAVING A TERRACE TO RELAX ON, A POOL TO COOL DOWN IN AND A PARILLA (ARGENTINE BBQ) TO COOK MEAT ON! A QUIET BLOCK, SUNSHINE, MEAT AND RED WINE...

THE AREA

BELGRANO
Belgrano used to be a city in its own right in the 19th century and is now on the northern fringes of Capital Federal, Buenos Aires.
Home to River Plate football club, Barrio Chino, the main road Cabildo with its shops and restaurants, several universities and many plazas and parks it is one of the most diverse yet authentic neighbourhoods.
Whilst there are three subway stations, two train stations and a host of buses there are still many quiet and tranquil areas where you feel like you are stepping out of the Capital and into a suburb.
Scattered throughout the area are small and large museums, some famous such as Sarmiento's museum, others converted sculptors houses. As a former home to much of the ruling class there are always stunning mansions and colonial homes to admire, many now embassies and petit hotels.
More Barrio information to be posted in this blog...
